We get mail like this almost every day:
Do you know what happened late last night by ? Saw cops/firetrucks/ambulances but can’t find out what happened.
The CHS information cycle runs too slowly to keep up. We see what Central District News is creating and think, wow, when will Capitol Hill get one of those?
When I heard about 10 sirens go by on Bellevue Ave E last night I checked out this site:
http://www2.cityofseattle.net/fire/realTime911/getDatePubTab.asp
There was a fire on the 500 block of Bellevue Ave E.
And I went outside to take pictures of it… this was the second fire call in the area that day, the first happening around 10 a.m. on the 1000 block of Summit (it woke me up).
Maybe we don’t need a news site at all. Maybe we only need cityofseattle.net and an Internet full of brappys.
