Starbucks on 15th Death Watch

Looks like 15th's oh so favorite frappicino stop is sliding into oblivion. http://www.starbucks.com/aboutus/USStoreClosureInfo.pdf

I'm personally a little sad to see Starbucks go. I think there's a certain senior crowd that found it's corporate home amongst the ever rotating selection of whips, blends, fraps, shakens, and whatever other sugary mess of schultz they could dream up. Lets all look on the bright side and hope something with character finds it's way into the vacated space.

looking forward to something new
Victrola, triumphant

Surprising given Victrola was only a short waddle away, the SBUX on 15th was fairly busy so shows that the cuts weren't (completely) based on location performance.

I'll take a look to see who owns the building and try to find out what they're planning now.

I actually prefer Ladro over Victrola...not just for the coffee but for the friendly staff. Ladro even hooked me up with stickers to cover the unsightly "Starbucks" logo on my travel mug this morning. :P

ladro
I agree on Ladro being the best on 15th. The baristas are awesome. I can wake up in such a funk and by the time I'm out of there, I'm usually cracking up or at least reminding myself that I have issues for being such a grouch.

Ladro friendly?
Man, people have different experiences. I find the Ladro baristas incredibly unfriendly/disdainful. I myself prefer Fuel. Victrola's nice if I want to sit outside on 15th, but I avoid Ladro these days. I guess I'm not as cool/emo/hip as Wesa. Maybe I'd get served better.

Linda at Smith's must know them - aren't both buildings owned by Stratton?
