Frame shop displaced by Sound Transit reopens

Kay Rood was perfectly happy living and working in a house on Broadway: you’ve surely walked past, and maybe patronized her frame shop there. You may also recall all her efforts on behalf of Cal Anderson Park.

Then along came Sound Transit and bought up her house/business as part of the Capitol Hill Station site.

She spent many long months searching for a suitable live-work site. Live-work is a trendy concept these days, but usually in the context of artists, etc, not services that require significant space for customer-oriented businesses.

She’s now found a place that suits her needs ( 5954 – 31st Avenue SW) and is back in business. Check out her website, or give her a call ( 206-324-9118) if you need something framed.
