• The man who died was Ed Jackson. The former manager of the Marion Apartments was 89 and had been fighting eviction from the building slated for demolition and redevelopment.
• Seattle Fire Department has confirmed that the blaze was intentionally set and that investigation is now in hands of SPD. Seattle PI 911 blog has rest of details from the fire department public info.
