CHS holiday gifts: crow t-shirts

Black Friday is gross and dangerous. But nobody has ever died on Cyber Monday. We’re adding our bit to the 2008 online holiday shopping experience with our newly minted CHS Crow Ts.

Now the whole family can sport the CHS crow

A few notes about the new shirts:

  • We’re working with a Hill-based provider to offer these shirts as soon as they are able — but currently, you’ll need to buy through Spreadshirt until we get the local solution in place. It’s a challenge to scale — buy on demand is really cool for a small operation like CHS but a logistical challenge for any provider.
  • The design is based on CHS Design Intern EmilyP’s new site banner.
  • We usually share proceeds from shirts with a worthy cause. For the crow, we’re splitting 50/50 with the deserving EmilyP. We’re certain she’ll put the money to good use!
  • We’re working on getting the price lower when we move to the new provider but on-demand printing costs a bit more. Until we can afford to order a set amount in advance (and take it in the shorts if we don’t sell), we’re sticking with on-demand.

Feel free to pick whatever color of shirt you want for the big people stuff — the Ts are the nice American Apparel style that are soft and nicely fit. For the babies, stick with white as the crow design has some fine lines that don’t play well on a color in the tiny format.

Hope you like them. We think they’re lots of fun and can’t wait to see you walking down the street in one. Reading CHS on your mobile phone, of course. Watch out for that pole.

Can one express interest in buying one when you’re set up with a local printer? I want one, but I’d rather wait. But it seems like you’d want to count me as a future buyer…
