Marriage equality rally, prayer walk

After your night of bar crawling, Saturday morning brings a rally for marriage equality.

Everyone who supports equal marriage rights please meet at the Seattle Central Community College Main Grounds (corner of Broadway and Pine) at 10:30am on Saturday. Volunteers will be walking through the crowds to get signatures on the Open Letter to Obama. The goal is to collect 1 million signatures and take them to D.C. for inauguration weekend.

An inspirational line-up of speakers and performers will take to the stage from 10:30-11:30am followed by a loud & PROUD march down to Westlake Center. The rally will continue at Westlake Center from Noon - 2:00pm with speakers, performers and additional signature gathering.

For you early risers, there's also a prayer walk planned to respond to the recent threats against the community in a non-bar-crawl manner -- that event starts at 9a at the Capitol Hill Presbyterian Church at 1729 Harvard Ave. Conveniently, right behind SCCC.
