Overheard staff at Liberty Bar today discussing expanding their space into the florist shop next door. Not the entire florist shop, mind you, apparently the florist isn’t going anywhere (which is great, I like them a lot). Details to follow I’m sure.

Since this is a news site, why don’t you call Liberty Bar and ask them what’s going on?
I really like the blog (and count on it for neighborhood updates) but it doesn’t seem like you take the one extra step that could make this site really really good.
Another example: Your post on the fences being gone at Cal Anderson Park. Okay, that’s good to know. But how about calling the city parks and asking them if all the work is really done?
okay, i didn’t realize that anybody could add a post to the site. now i understand.
i guess it’s a risk involved in setting up a site like this.

I actually talked to them a little bit, mostly asking where they were expanding (the space is very small) and if I could talk about it, but they were obviously talking to each other and I didn’t want to keep interrupting.
