Weekend war protest plans include Cal Anderson

A weekend of anti-war activities planned for the city -- and across the country -- include a noon Sunday rally in Cal Anderson Park. On Sunday, demonstration organizers from Answerseattle.org and the Seattle chapter of the Iraq Veterans Against War say they will gather at Cal Anderson before marching to Victor Steinbrueck Park near Pike Place Market to protest the 6th anniversary of the US war in Iraq.

Saturday demonstrations and protests are planned for downtown with a noon rally at Westlake Center and a march to the Federal Building at 2nd and Madison.

The weather is forecast to be cool and cloudy -- but not terribly wet -- through the weekend.
