East Pine Street’s big day: ice cream, hippies, you

I’ll be out and about to get a few pictures and make a wry observation or three. If you see something cool, let CHS know.

UPDATE: Added a few scenes from the day — plus, check out bonus coverage of Gay Field Day at Cal Anderson.

Molly Moon prepares to open for business on Capitol Hill. “I’m happy to be in my favorite neighborhood in Seattle,” she told CHS.

By opening, the line stretched down the block.

30 minute wait, we’re told.

The wait pays off.

Meanwhile, over at Cal Anderson, Eeyore’s Birthday was underway. Enjoyed watching the group slowly intertwine with Gay Field Day nearby.

Slow, lazy start to Eeyore festivities

Looks like you got there early. We hippies run a little late! :) It did turn into quite the fun spectacle! Wish we coulda met. Come say hi next time! :)

A big thank you to **everyone** who made this year’s Eeyore’s Birthday such a success! A special thank you to the tech spinning group that are so talented and friendly and especially to Roxie and Indigo who who helped made this event happen! I had so much fun hanging with all the new and old friends there. It went better than I could have hoped and I’m looking forward to using all the lessons we learned this time towards making the next Eeyore’s Birthday even yummier! We will have more music for sure!

A big shout out to the incredibly fabulous Gay Track and Field members who showed up in full effect in awesome outfits for their own event that just happened to be at the same time and place and blended so very well with ours. If you are one of the organizers, or know someone who is, please contact me. I am giving their big, beautiful flag a temporary home until it can be returned to it’s owner and I’d love to chat about the possibility of working together next year.

I took responsibility for all items left behind. If you left anything at the park or at my home at the after party please contact me with a description of the item and I’ll get it back to you. The items I know of off the top of my head are some juggling equipment, a pink hat and a basket that contained cupcakes when it arrived. More may surface when I clean up my home and unload my car.

If anyone found a peacock feather earring, it’s mine! Please let me know.

Big smiles,
Tiko
