Zombie Crawl costume causes real scare on Broadway

From the East Precinct scanner: A participant headed to tonight's 'Zombie Crawl' at Metro Clothing was detained by police after people reported seeing an Asian male in SWAT gear -- including a gas mask and what appeared to be a sidearm -- walking down Broadway. A brief pursuit ended when the male entered Metro and was taken into custody by responding officers who quickly discovered that he was wearing a costume. The crawl is a promotion for the upcoming Crypticon convention and offered free passes to the event for the best zombie costumes.

Ask an Uptight Seattleite
Haha, seriously, what kind of up-tight Seattleites are moving into Capitol Hill? If you live here you should know that odd costumes and clothing on Broadway is the norm.

Clearly in costume
Saw this guy yesterday. It was pretty obvious he was in costume, because he was with three other people that were dressed up. The gun had an orange tip on it.

thought it was a little realistic
I also saw this guy...gotta say I was worried when I saw him b/c even though I could tell it was a costume I knew others might not. Even in the context of other people wearing costumes, his was a bit too realistic. People have been arrested or shot for much less (like, neon toy guns!) Anyhow, glad it at least ended without him being injured.
