Shots fired in Pike/Pine last night -- UPDATE

A testy evening on the streets of Pike/Pine last night was marked by gunfire as an unidentified man fired several rounds in the air during a scuffle with security from a nearby club. According to a Seattle Police Department report, several fights broke out in the 1400 block of 10th Ave near Neumo's and Moe Bar around 2 AM as bars and clubs cleared out. Security from a nearby business (the report doesn't indicate which) intervened and reportedly attempted to break up the fight. A man then fired several shots into the air before fleeing in a vehicle southbound on 10th Ave. The report describes the suspect as an Asian male. No victims and no property damage were located.

UPDATE:
Comment from Hillpster gives one account of what was cooking last night:

I was there when this all went down. Everyone was getting kicked out of the Moe Bar since it was almost 2am. Two people started fighting just off the sidewalk right outside the front door. Finally, Moe security rushed out to break it up, but the fight had grown and spilled out into 10th and there was only two security guards. Then the shots rang out and that basically stopped the fight. It was nuts! I've never been that close to gunfire. Everyone was getting down on the ground and trying to hide behind things.

Neumo's calendar indicates there was no show at the venue last night. UPDATE: Per comment below, Neumo's calendar goes blank for past dates. Monday night's show featured 'indie pop' from Love is All.

Yikes
I live at 12th/Madison. I woke up randomly to what I thought was gunshots, but they weren't followed by sirens, so I thought I must have imagined it. Guess it was.

Neumo's Monday
There was in fact a show at Neumo's on Monday night: Love is All headlined and there were two warm ups, Still Flyin, and one other.

Neumo's calendar online doesn't ever show anything for dates already past.

RE: Neumo's Monday
Thanks -- I should have noticed that the rest of Neumo's past dates were also empty (either that or it was Neumo's opening night)
