Madison Market Closed Temporarily Due to Cash Register Problems

Inside Madison Market

I went to shop for groceries at Madison Market earlier today and found them closed until further notice.  My suggestion is that you call (206-329-1545) before you hike over there for your groceries.  The nearest grocery stores to Madison Market are the Safeway on 15th and the Trader Joe's & Safeway on Madison Street.

Problem was happening on Sunday, too.
On Sunday, we took a walk to get some victuals from Madison Market and found them closed with a sign talking about "Technical Difficulties". We extended our walk and on our way back they were open, but with only registers 1 and 2 operating.

Here's hoping that a squadron of hippie geek types are working on the problems even as we speak.

voicemail says they're open
I just called the number in your post, and a recorded message says they're open but the registers are still down, so customers have to write down the price of the item(s) they're buying. They are apparently accepting credit cards, though.

Hello!

I'm one of the hippie geeks that works at the co-op. Today's report from our systems guy, Michael, is that we're all systems go. Here's hoping our point of sales systems doesn't experience any other burps.
