Cafe Stellina Closes - "Plum" to take its place

Closed for good?

Recently, CHS community members have complained anew about Stellina's irregular hours.  It now looks as if Stellina may have closed - for good (their voicemail box is currently full but we will continue to try to reach them for a comment).  This is a sad story in many ways - if you have followed Stellina's migration from a small space in the Central District to its current trendy location in the Piston & Ring buildingI hope for Teri & Mike's sake that this is a rennovation and not a closing.  Looking at the new liquor license report, I noticed that Makini Howell (of Hillside Quickie fame) and her partners will try to assume the liquor license for Stellina's location (1429 12th Avenue East Suite B).

name confusion?
Not sure if it will be confusing to some but there is already a Plum sorta nearby - a children's shoe store on Madison (@ 29th in Madison Valley).

RE: name confusion?
potential problem especially since Izilla Toys in the Piston Building is also formerly of Madison Valley

Stellina's
Teri and Mike sold the business to Makini, They are now spending time with their daughter and continuing to do some catering while they explore their future options, not a sad story for them. I will miss Stellina's.
