On Sunday morning, leaving my apartment just off of Pike and Boren. I saw them, but didn’t think anything of it until three or four started swooping down on me and caw-cawing. They kept getting louder and closer and I actually had to start running. Now every time I hear a crow, I get a little creeped out.

I think they do this annually. There’s probably a nest nearby.

Right now is now baby season for crows (and other birdies/wildlife). I learned this past weekend that baby crows learn to fly from the ground, so if you’re getting divebombed there is probably a little one nearby.

yes the young crows often end up on the ground for a few days when they leave the nest – PAWS and other wildlife rehabbers end up with lots of healthy crows brought in by well-meaning people that think they’re injured.
If you just keep moving the adults should leave you alone. And the young crows are best served by letting their parents take care of them.

There are two of them; they follow you up the street, cawing and swooping down. Very creepy!
There are some on Harrison by QFC too.
Signs? Crows? Both?
