Mars Hill Living Life Intentionally On Hill

Via Slog, we learn that Joel Fariss, Mars Hill Church Downtown’s  Deacon, has decided to establish domicile on Capitol Hill.     God himself has led Mr. Fariss and his wife to Capitol Hill.  Mr. Fariss has been busy discovering Bauhaus cross dressers, dirty Thai restaurants, and even learning the first names of *two* bartenders at his local pub.  If you would like to hear more about his godly mission, he will be holding court at Grey Gallery every Monday at 5:30 pm.

  2. Well, I felt like God led me to our fine neighborhood too; good to see the Divine still has good taste. Then again, I think I have completely different reasons for shouting Hallelujah about the Hill than Mr. Fariss does, though…I feel like I converted to Capitol Hill, and I think Mr. Fariss is trying to do the opposite.

  5. My wife heard on the news that Mars Hill Church is planning to locate on Capital Hill. Is this true? and how far has their plans come along? Just interested and as far as we are concerned, they are very welcome. Where is their intended location? The ‘hill’ needs more faith based Bible believing faiths.
