The Arboretum pedestrian bridge crossing Lake Washington Boulevard just can’t get a break. Even with new warning signs in place, another truck hit the old span yesterday causing a three-car pileup just before noon.
Hill photographer and CHS contributor SeattleBrad happened to be nearby and uploaded these shots of the accident. Fortunately, there were no major injuries and the only emergency callout for the crash involved spilled fuel.

There seems to be an accident involving the bridge every few months. The city added additional warning signage after this last crash in April.
I got caught behind that truck when it happened. What your picture doesn’t show is the VERY big yellow sign that says “9 FEET” on the bridge right next to the truck. How do you spell clueless.
