Capitol Hill Snapshot (#5) - Bellevue & Belmont

I told jseattle I was going to do this week's Snapshot at Volunteer Park, but I walked past this corner one morning and had to grab my camera and go back. Between the view of the space needle, the beautiful houses, and all the fall colors, it was a perfect fall Capitol Hill scene.

The exact cross streets for this one are actually Bellevue Pl E & Belmont Pl E. Here's the street view of the location.

Why I love Capitol Hill
Thanks for another nice film. These pieces remind me of why I love living here: there are so many great views and beautiful details to be seen everywhere you look. I like the thoughtful way these split screen films depict the experience, shifting between taking in the vista to examining smaller compositions.

Perfect snapshot of space & time
I love this part of Capitol Hill. I also love that what you captured was the epitome of early November 2009; an aging jack-o-lantern, The Space Needle's flag is half mast, and orange leaves on the ground has become too much work to rake. Look, The Sir Lancelot has a vacancy!

My favorite so far
This is the area just below my apartment and I walk through everyday as I head down the hill to Lakeview. You captured the feeling of solitude and tranquility I love so much. Thanks!

fall colors
Very nice video. The vibrant reds and orange leaves make even an overcast day a pleasure. The layering of the videos is new to me--fascinating.
