have just stepped into the bar for the first time this week.
Either way, all of you are greatly appreciated.
To continue the party we are having a big New Years Eve

Jerry has created a terrific 4-course menu to help celebrate the arrival of 2010. Please join us for truffled ravioli, poached oysters, wagyu beef, and Dana’s amazing desserts. We’re setting aside our traditional thalis for a day to offer this celebratory menu (and of course, we always accommodate vegetarians, vegans, glutenoids, and anyone who is allergic to anything!).

Let’s send 2009 out in style as we look forward to a new decade and great times ahead. Call 206-324-1108 any day after 2:00 PM (except Monday when we rest) for reservations and more details. Or send an email to [email protected] with your request, and we’ll get back to you right away.

(CHS Sponsor) Central Cinema throws a Prince New Year’s Eve Sing Along Party ($12 per person): “we’re playing the best videos from that much better decade — the 1990s!!! SIR MIX A LOT, REM, R KELLY, BJORK, NO DOUBT, THE SPICE GIRLS, HANSON, BLUR, BRITNEY SPEARS, EN VOGUE, BLIND MELLON, and of course NIRVANA…all the heavy hitters from the last decade of the 20th Century will be featured.  Then, at the stroke of midnight, we’re going to swing into the future that should have been…with one solid hour of iconic PRINCE music videos starting with 1999. All with sing along subtitles!”

Lifelong Aids Alliance is throwing a Labyrinth Masquerade Ball and Benefit with a Davide Bowie theme ($125 tickets).

Should be a bash at Purr – all the bars should be hot – and of course this would NOT be the night to go broke eating at a fancy place rather than gathering friends and getting happily loaded and loopy and kissing all men and women in sight close to midnight … then, chug on until the am … and get food at I Hop … pancakes are really good at that time.

Mike, I think 2010 will be a challenge … smart survival is the word.

(spend your money on the the Hill, and don’t drive and a very good evening to do a joint or two, keep things mellow.)

Having lived a good long time and “been there, done that” I am looking for a non alcoholic New Year’s Eve event. Perhaps a church service…a discussion group…or such. ANybody know of any alternative activities on the Eve or Day?
