Streetcar meeting after-party: Community Council holiday benefit

After Tuesday night’s streetcar meeting, you might consider stopping by Cafe Metropolitain to help support one of the community groups working to make Capitol Hill a better place. The Capitol Hill Community Council is holding its Holiday Benefit Bash from 7 to 9 PM. Full disclosure: I served as the Council president for a year as it re-started after a long dormancy. Doing this job and being part of the Council as it got itself organized and started taking on bigger issues than re-writing its bylaws just wasn’t possible — but I’m glad to see the CHCC still growing and becoming more and more involved with the Hill’s big decisions. I go to a lot of Hill community meetings on behalf of CHS — the Council usually has somebody there, too. Glad I’m not here alone.

What: You are officially invited to the Capitol Hill Community Council’s Holiday Benefit Bash, wherein we make merry and tell you we’ve accomplished this year and what we plan for the next.
