Man claiming knife wound to head causes SU library scare – UPDATE

An assault with weapons callout to E Columbia’s interim Seattle
University library turned out to be a man claiming he had been hit in
the head with a machete, a SU student who witnessed the situation told
CHS. The student said the man did not appear to be bleeding. Emergency
crews and police units had already left the scene only 20 minutes
after the original 911 call. More when we can confirm details with SFD
and SPD.

UPDATE 11:25 PM:
Bear with us because this one gets a little odd. According to police and emergency scanner traffic, the man was indeed struck in the head and suffered a three-inch gash tonight at a Jack In the Box on 4th Ave S. He was treated by an ambulance crew for his injuries but refused admittance to the hospital. No word on why he decided to enter the SU library and inform the desk of his injury.
