Remember the charming black iron work and greenery-laden patio at Marjorie’s Belltown location on 2nd and Battery?  When Marjorie’s owner Donna Moodie lost her lease on that space in September 2008, her goal at the time was to move to a similar older building with character (she seemed particularly inspired by Lark/Licorous) on Capitol Hill.  At the time, she told Nancy Leson, “I have no desire to be in a newer development”.  Well, it sounds as if she may have compromised a bit on her wishes.  Marjorie announced today on their Facebook page that they have just signed a lease at 1412 East Union, the Chloe.  I look forward to happy hours there (the $12 mojitos were a little too spendy for me – but $6 I can handle).
