Lost chihuahua follows finder to work on 14th Ave — UPDATE: Found!

Erin reports that 12th Ave’s Broadway Veterinary Hospital was able to provide info about the dog’s owner thanks to the pup’s identification chip. Reunion!

Original report:
Do you know this lost dog? The little chihuahua followed Erin at 14th Ave’s Blue Sky Cleaners to work this morning from 12th Ave. The dog clearly has an owner who is probably looking for it. If you can help reunite the family, call (206) 328-5056. Thanks to Zach at Porchlight for letting us know about the lost doggie. Find or lose a pet? This morning the owner jumped out of her car and came running up to me on 13th Avenue and E Mercer looking for him. She has long brown hair, about 5′-6″, looked to be in her late 20s to early 30s, and drives a black Honda Fit. If anyone knows a girl like this, call her because she is frantically looking for the pup. Thanks.

Furthermore, I was gonna suggest that someone walk the dog to Broadway Vet on 12th and see if they have record of the dog or if its microchipped. There’s a slight chance the dog gets cared for there since there aren’t many vets in this area.

You feel bad for the poor girl who’s looking for him. I mean, we all know he’s fine, and it’s only a matter of time before he’s back home, but can you imagine how worried she must be? Well, at least there’s a happy ending on the way.

There are fliers for a missing dog (that looks a lot like the one in the blog post)posted around 15th Avenue. Sorry I don’t have a phone number, but I’m sure the fliers survived the rain–they were in ziploc bags.

Thanks everyone! We took it by the Broadway Vet and they were able to find the information for the owner.

SOO glad to hear it! Can’t imagine losing my puppies. Yay for this blog, its the first place I’d look if I lost my dog. Cap Hill is full of good, dog-lovin’ people.

Thanks everyone for helping find my little escape artist. He is home safe and now with a full belly, he ran away before breakfast. I didn’t think to look here are, as I was frantically running and driving around, silly me. This is a great neighborhood of really kind hearted people.
