Thursday is a big night for Capitol Hill art. April’s Blitz Capitol Hill arts walk takes its regular second Thursday turn, for one. For two, Capitol Hill’s new art supply store Blick Art Materials is scheduled to open its doors for the first time. Blick claims to have the “largest selection of quality art materials,” and a quick peek into the store’s windows reveals rows of art supply that make full usage of their generous portion of real estate that EveryDay Music used to call home. Later in the month, here will be a week-long Grand Opening celebration going on from April 22 to May 2, featuring a ribbon cutting ceremony, DJ music sets, and a host of vendor demonstrations.  The full schedule of events is below.
