Power outage in I-5 Shores – UPDATE

Seattle City Light is reporting a power outage today caused by damage to a “large transformer” in this densely populated area of the Hill between Belmont and Bellevue and Harrison and Howell. No word yet if any bus routes are impacted by the failure.

The city department says it expects to have power restored by 4 PM — just in time for you to get home and talk to your cat about it. Now, let the Optimus Prime jokes begin.

UPDATE 1:24 PM:
From comments and beyond, hearing that power is back on for some if not all. No update from City Light, though.
