Tidbit Bistro on the move

Tidbit Bistro, “Where Madrid meets Napoli on Capitol Hill,” is for sale. But only the 10th Ave location and good karma go to the buyer. The name and the recipes will stay with current owners Nicola Longo and John van Diense.

Tidbit informed us Tuesday that though they listed only a few days ago, they have already received two offers above the asking price of $75k. They are still showing the restaurant and accepting additional offers. They have also confirmed that they signed a lease for the new Tidbit and that it will be on Capitol Hill.  We are following up with them for the exact location.

Tidbit opened up at 2359 10th Ave E in the summer of 2007. The location was previously home to Cassis and XO Bistro.

Tidbit is a longtime CHS Sponsor.  And just last week, they hosted our monthly happy hour.  Below is a photo of Tidbit’s mascot – a Fiat 500 — and the listing info.

Tidbit is a character rich neighborhood bistro situated on the 10th Avenue arterial in North Capitol Hill’s Roanoke district. Along the commuter route to both I-5 and 520, this high traffic, corner location boasts strong demographics and easy access to residents of Capitol Hill, Eastlake and Montlake. Established in 2007, Tidbit has developed loyal neighborhood clientele. This charming brick building features original windows, great natural light, high ceilings and concrete floors. Full bar, Class I hood, walk-in cooler and HVAC. Fantastic opportunity to take over turn-key restaurant. Ideal for chef/owner!

Nice place, a friend lived near and took me there four or five times.

I, for one, am glad that tidbit will still be around, and even closer to me (though admittedly it was just a short jaunt on the 49 before). John and Nic are sweet guys, and I’ve always enjoyed my visits there. Good food, attentive service, nice ambiance. Looking forward to the new location!

They’re moving to the location on 15th on the corner next to 22 doors, just across the street from Subway/Teapot. You can see their sign in the window.

I think you are doing it wrong – The happy hour prices are *fantastic* and they always have plenty of affordable items on the menu.

I believe you about the service though. I don’t know what it is about Seattle – too many hipster servers maybe? ;)

Glad they are moving. Hopefully the new place will be more affordable and have a regular crowd below the age of 70.

Hope the new place makes more use out of the outdoor deck area too!
