Council member Burgess at East Precinct community crime meeting

Fresh from a final blow of defeat for his anti aggressive panhandling bill, City Council member Tim Burgess will be the guest presenter at the May East Precinct Crime Prevention Coalition Meeting, Thursday night at 6 PM at the Seattle Vocational Institute on South Jackson. In addition to the opportunity to hear Burgess speak and ask the chair of the Council’s Public Safety Committee, the monthly meeting is also a good opportunity to voice concerns or questions directly to East Precinct officials. What:    Please plan to attend this Thursday’s East Precinct Crime Prevention Coalition Meeting. Our featured guest will be Tim Burgess, City Council Chair of the Public Safety Committee. Councilmember Burgess will be discussing community policing and police staffing, both topics near and dear to the heart of our community. Key to the solutions we need in our neighborhoods is everyone’s voice, so come and give your input! Also on the agenda will be a presentation of the neighborhood survey results for the Drug Market Initiative, as well as our regular community concerns and precinct updates.
