When we learned Facebook was planning to open an engineering office in Seattle, CHS, of course, set to work to examine the possibility that the social network technology company might make Capitol Hill its home. Things on our side included our proximity to downtown, a company adviser’s Capitol Hill start-up roots and the Hill’s creative culture. TechFlash reports that Facebook has announced its Seattle home and Capitol Hill has lost out to downtown just above Pike Place Market. Facebook will soon live at 101 Stewart. Who knows if we were even in the running but, at least, as @aaronbrethorst points out, it’s a convenient commute.
Wow, these guys are really expanding. They just opened an office in Austin too.
