Museum of the Mysteries finds new Cap Hill home on E. Union

As its operators are working this weekend to organize the second annual Capitol Hill Pride Festival on Broadway, the Seattle Museum of the Mysteries is being prepared for a move to Pike/Pine.

We reported earlier this month that the museum is losing its lease  as next-door business Metrix: Create prepares to expand. As you can see in the sign we found posted outside the museum, the break-up isn’t necessarily a friendly one. Metrix, by the way, is a CHS advertiser.

The museum’s new location at 954 E. Union is a busy one these days. We pegged it as the home for a sandwich shop at one point but that plan apparently changed as we reported the planned opening of the CorkHouse winery and tasting room in its place. CorkHouse, by the way, is hoping to open up later this summer. In the meantime, 954 E. Union is also home to a capoiera studio.

How the Museum of the Mysteries will fit into all of this isn’t clear — they haven’t returned CHS’s calls — but we’ll know soon. Their Broadway lease ends on the last day of June.
