So much for the Hill’s mugging lull: Street robbery on Madison

We knew this headline from earlier this week would bring no good: A sudden crime rarity: Attempted mugging on Capitol Hill

CHS has learned of a street mugging early Wednesday morning in which a man said he was robbed as he walked near 16th and Madison. The man told police that, following the 2:30 AM robbery, he followed his assailant to an apartment building on 17th Ave. The suspect was described as black male in his late 20s, 6-foot tall, 180 pounds, with long, dreadlock hair and wearing a black sweatshirt or hoodie, black pants, and light brown work boots. One witness told police that a person matching the description had been seen on the building’s seventh floor. Officers surrounded the building and searched for a person matching the description but were unable to find the suspect.

There was no medical callout for the area near the time of the mugging.
