Go for a Broadway walk with your King County Council member

Larry Phillips to visit Broadway community

Local residents invited to join walking tour

Metropolitan King County Councilmember Larry Phillips will meet with the community leaders and business owners in Seattle’s Broadway neighborhood Friday, August 27. Community residents are invited to join Phillips on a walking tour being organized by the Capitol Hill Champion—a coalition of the Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce and the Capitol Hill Community Council. The tour will begin at 1 p.m. at Broadway Video, 813 E Republican Street.

The walking tour stops will include:

    ·       Broadway Video: exploring the light rail construction business mitigation plan and how it’s working.

    ·       First Hill Streetcar alignment: exploring the streetcar’s potential. 
            
    ·       Site of light rail construction and future Transit Oriented Development: exploring the vision for TOD and enhancing the vibrancy of the community.

    ·       Site of future public space at Nagle Place: exploring potential retail space and a permanent home for the Broadway Farmers’ Market. 

The tour will conclude at approximately 3 p.m. Residents interested accompanying Councilmember Phillips should RSVP to Larry.Phillips@KingCounty.gov.
