All those worried that CC Attle’s was bluffing about having a new home lined up can apparently relax. Thursday night as the mother of all gay bars celebrated its final night at Madison and 15th Ave, manager Chris Daw sent out an update on CC’s new deal:
We signed a lease today! So, we now have a future home for the bar.
The space we are going to occupy currently has an existing tenant occupying the space.
We have been asked by the business owner and our new Landlord to delay our disclosure of the location, as they have not yet notified the employees of the changes to their business.
Out of respect for the employees currently working there we are delaying our announcement for 1 week.
We will announce the new location on Friday October 8th at noon.
Sorry for the delays,
Chris
CHS has talked to a few of the bars currently operating in locations where we’ve heard a rumor or three about a potential CC move but nobody has yet confirmed they’re moving out.
already know that CC’s is moving into the Clever Dunne’s space on Olive across from the Elite. It’s been knowledge for a bit over a week. I can’t believe folks in that business don’t know that already. It’ll be great having a gay bar within immediate walking distance of the Elite. Sure, there’s the Eagle, but it’s a bit rough on Bellevue between Olive and Pine.
In the know.
No.
I’ve heard that rumor as well as Metropolitan Cafe’s spot and the standard fare “Martin’s place” rumor. I think it’d suck for the Irish pub if it’s true, but I agree it would be great to have another gay bar so close to the Eagle and Elite. Mostly because the Elite is kinda poorly laid out.
I’ll put my two cents with wishful thinking – the Captain Black’s space. Good space with different areas, already have a kitchen and they have a nice deck. (fingers crossed)
dunnes would be a much better spot, but cafe met is much more likely. dunnes seems to do ok while i’ve heard cafe met has been for sale under the radar for a while now.
pretty sure its the old War Room Space…
Lovin’ the speculation about where CCs will land. Stiff drinks, tough guys, and great times are sure to continue where ever they will be.
