Reminder: 2010 Seattle AIDS Walk

3,000 walkers and runners are expected to participate Saturday along with the Lifelong AIDS Alliance and sponsor Moms Pharmacy in the 2010 Seattle AIDS Walk and Run, an event expected to raise about $500,000. We profiled preparations for the 2010 AIDS Walk here. Broadway merchants are offering discounts to participants. CHS will have coverage of the event but please consider sending us your photos and observations to share at [email protected]. Many area streets along the route are either closed or will have restricted access until late in the afternoon so definitely plan ahead. And happy walking!

Hey Lifelong–thanks for leaving all your barricades up and down 12th Ave E. I love having them all over my street. It sure does inspire such positive feelings in the neighborhood.

It’s actually not Lifelong’s job to remove the barricades. They are put up and taken down by the barricade company who rents them to Lifelong, I believe it was National Barricade Co. So you can direct your positive feelings towards them next time.

Whomever needed the barricades and rented them is responsible. Don’t pass the buck.
