Early last Thursday morning, Seattle Police responded to the East Pine Shell station where two victims reported an ugly incident on Broadway. Here are the details from the SPD report on the September 2nd attack from SeattleCrime:
Seattle police are investigating another case of malicious harassment—Washington’s hate crime statute—after a group of men hurled epithets and rocks at a transgendered woman on Capitol Hill last week.
The victim told police “four suspects were trying to talk with [her] to hook up” and had complimented her on her legs when “the suspects realized that he was a male and not a female,” according to a police report.
According to police radio reports from the incident, the suspects were described as a white male and three black males wearing black clothing. At least one of the men also had shiny gold or silver trim. The victims reported that the group fled the scene via Pike. If you have any information about the incident, contact the East Precinct at (206) 684-4300.
