With most of Seattle either out of town, at Bumbershoot or holed up downtown for the PAX Penny Arcade Expo, the first ever Medieval Country Faire in Volunteer Park soldiered on through an overcast day.
Powered by a $15,000 grant from the city’s Neighborhood Matching Fund, Saturday’s turnout — both on the crowd and on the knight side of the ledger — left some a little disappointed. We also heard there was some last minute confusion about things like whether there could be horses in Volunteer Park.
Did you go? Any advice for the first-time organizers? The event continues Sunday from noon to 5 PM.
And, even though you can’t ride your steed in Volunteer Park, it is safe to dance.
