Cafe Petti Roso holding holiday craft sale

With more retail bloomed on Capitol Hill than in recent years, it’s still nice to be able to find smaller surprises when you’re on the hunt for a perfect holiday gift. Pike at 11th Ave’s little Cafe Petti Roso has a bit of a surprise for you: a Friday holiday craft sale:

Cafe Petti Rosso is hosting a holiday art and craft sale featuring gifts and handmade items by locals. Lampshades, glass lanterns, cards, knit hats, recycled blank books, laptop / ipad /iphone covers, cookies and candy, and more!

The event runs from 2 to 8 PM, Friday (11/19).

With wreaths in Pike/Pine, snowflakes on Broadway and Thanksgiving next week, you can’t stop it. Holiday season has arrived. If you’re looking for a little more spirit to get you ready for all of that, head downtown tonight to see the lighting of the giant sequoia at 4th and Stewart. The giant tree wasn’t faring too well in recent years but city says it’s better now and ready for its giant string of lights. Too early?
