Tip Padding on CC transactions at capitol hill noodle shop

Hey folks!

Just wanted to give you all a heads up that my credit card statement did not reflect the amount I left for gratuity at a well known noodle place that I have frequented dozens of times.  It could have been an inadvertant mistake if it was a little more subtle but this was pretty obvious. Times must be tough.  Let’s just say it is on a corner and rhymes with “room” .  Buyer beware!!!

Just name the fucking restaurant, please. It’s pathetic that you allege a restaurant stole from you, but you won’t name the restaurant. Grow a pair?

The person said it rhymes with “ROOM”. Are you an idiot? That’s just as good as naming it. Don’t tell them to grow a pair just because you can’t decipher their super secret code.

Maybe your writing sucks and they couldn’t read the number you wrote…
How wrong was it?

More importantly, have you called your CC and reported it and called the restaurant to speak with a manager about it? Don’t just drop hints on a blog, do something about it. Fraud is a crime.

I’ve had that happen once Pagli’s a long time ago. Usually if you just call or email the place, they’ll fix it for you. (Pagli’s gave me a coupon for a free pizza, sent an apology letter and someone actually called me as well – they’re awesome. It was only $2 over in my case). Sometimes it’s just a mistake – someone putting in the tip twice. Give the place a chance to explain/look into it before you call them out as criminals.
