The big party we told you about earlier for the new Summit Slope Park and Unpaving Paradise P-Patch is this weekend:

Place: Summit Slope Park/ Unpaving Paradise P-Patch 
           (corner of John and Summit, behind Olive Way Starbucks)
Date: Sunday, May 1st
Time: Noon

Here are some details from organizers. Maypole!

Starbucks and Umpqua Bank are providing some goodies, and I believe some Council members (and maybe even the Mayor) will be coming by to celebrate. There will be a Maypole to welcome Spring and musicians have been invited to set the mood as you enjoy the park. For all the garden minded people, there will be a Tilth Master Composter giving a presentation at 1:30pm.You can see the invitation flyer attached.
