Just as the neighborhood shout-outs in “Slick Watts” started falling, so did the massive raindrops. But then “Marion Sunshine” came along and the Seattle rain went away. The seventh annual Unity Fair filled Seattle Central Community College’s plaza Thursday afternoon with beats, dancing and booths representing the school’s +8,000 student diversity. The Blue Scholars were the biggest names on the bill but some of the best times to be had were thanks to the treats for sale, goofy games to be won and hot dance moves going down in the raindrops. Despite the happy mood, not all is good times at SCCC. We’ll have more soon about how the state budget situation is going to bring some significant changes at SCCC.
