The co-working industry on Capitol Hill just doubled. The Mill, founded by Jana and Keith Harper of start-up Duo Creative, is now making space for new members in the Broadway Building:
While sharing office space has been around since the first caveperson had extra cave, a co-working space can mean a more established infrastructure for work and, perhaps more importantly, people on hand to manage and maintain the space. Many spaces will offer monthly memberships or drop-ins. The Mill, which fancies itself a “co-working boutique,” is full-time only. It also offers dangerous proximity to Cal Anderson and Yogurtland. The Mill joins Boylston at Pine’s Office Nomads (and some might say Victrola, Vita, Vivace, etc.) in the Hill’s co-working offerings. Office Nomads is a CHS partner, by the way, and you’ll find us co-working away there often. Nomads leaders Jacob Sayles and Susan Evans say that after nearly four years on the Hill they’re planning out a northern expansion and looking at places from Wallingford to Ballard. You can learn more about their search — and let them know if you have any leads on about 5,000 square feet — on http://officenomads.com/grow/
