Seattle Parks department contractors Thursday morning began the work of dismantling the chain link fences that have closed off 3/4 of an acre of the park since September. With work starting before 7a, the job is expected to take all day to complete.

A solution for a non-existent issue. Nobody, nobody complained about a glare problem.
I did.
Who are you to speak for everyone else.
I complained as well. For anyone living within the five blocks east, the glare is awful. Not to mention, a waste of electricity to illuminate everything outside of the park. More efficient lights with less light lost to the surrounding neighborhood will be welcome to a lot of us.
As a neighbor I am quite happy that the lights are being taken care of. That said, I haven’t complained about the glare.
