True Love on Summit Ave: Doing its part to keep Capitol Hill weird, fun, and vibrant

For every hipster that leaves the Hill, there is an equal and opposite re-hipster. We don’t even know what that means but here’s part of a very nice little note we received from Capitol Hill resident and CHS reader Boris Erickson about a new business he and his partners are starting. Meet True Love:

We’re building out a very unique space designed specifically for the creation of custom tattoos and the display and sale of visual and media arts. (We’ll have some light retail too. :-) )

As long-time residents of Capitol Hill, and all three of us first-time business owners, we’re positively thrilled to be mixing our own special vibe into the ‘hood. We can’t wait to open our doors!

Since it seems many folks are complaining these days about the “blandness” of what’s being built and who’s moving in, I thought folks might be interested to hear that there’s a local group of guys who are sharing our part in helping to keep Capitol Hill weird, fun, and vibrant.

True Love will be located at 1525 Summit Ave E between Pike and Pine in the space left behind by Zero Zero when it moved around the corner to Pine. Erickson said the tattoo shop and gallery will be ready to open in the next week or so. You can learn more at https://www.facebook.com/trueloveart

If it’s between Pike and Pine there probably isn’t an E on the address.
