SFD battles wall fire in 87-year-old 13th Ave Union Terrace co-op building

Seattle Fire crews battled a wall fire in a second floor unit that spread to other parts of a 13th Ave co-op building Friday afternoon just after 4p.

The callout for the blaze inside the 1136 13th Ave building came in at 4:10p and crews continued to work to put out the fire and clear the smoke as of this posting. Nobody was found inside the units where the fire spread.

The 3-story 1924 building has 31 units.

Traffic at 13th and Union was re-routed during the response.
