I am thrilled we’re going to have easy access to a Target soon! That’s only trumped by my being even more thrilled that it won’t actually be on Capitol Hill;-) But, seriously, this is great!
I agree totally; businesses in business districts, that’s my motto.
That’s odd, I thought they’d done all their hiring. I applied through craigslist about a month ago. I start on Monday.
Target CEO Gregg Steinhafel gave $150,000. to a virulently antigay Minn. state Rep. Tom Emmer. The Minnesota Independent has linked Emmer to a punk rock ministry that advocates the killing of Gay and Lesbian people. I’ll never shop there again. JC Penny for me.
So you don’t think there should be businesses in Capitol Hill. Your motto doesn’t seem well thought out.
Target = Wal-Mart + smiley face
That was two years ago. Now they are selling t-shirts to support a pro-gay group.
People learn. People change. Tolerance breeds tolerance.
Move on.
It seems to me that the lower level at the Broadway QFC has many of the items that are available at Target…at least for me, QFC is very adequate most of the time. And I would rather spend my money there than at a business whose CEO supported a rabid homophobe. The fact that Target is now acting supportive of pro-gay causes does not impress me one bit…..that’s all PR and a ploy to make more money.
Selling shirts…
Solving social problems with shopping: The real zombie apocalypse.
It’s a start but you will bitch about anything positive or negative.
Except that QFC is owned by Kroger Corp, and they’re just as bad– if not worse– than Target.
Every company uses PR and ploy to make more money. Sucker.
Jim, please provide some documentation of your claim that Kroger is so awful. Is the CEO a blatant homophobe?
