  1. I’d be interested to see the breakdown by artist as well. Six out of ten songs on the list are basically one-hit wonders, and two of the others (Total Eclipse and Don’t Stop Believing) are far and away the most popular songs by those artists. There’s no Nirvana, no Pearl Jam, no Elvis, no Police, no U2, no Madonna… probably because those artists have so many good songs that it’s hard to choose!

    I read these book lists every week, and wish every week that each title was linked to the Eliott Bay’s summary description of the book (so you could click into it and actually read about the book if interest is peaked by the title and best-sellerness). Something to consider!
