The Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce is supporting the Seattle Good Business Network’s Gift Local Pledge Campaign to remind people to shop locally (beyond the Thanksgiving weekend!) this holiday season.  Seattle Good Business Network and BECU have partnered to celebrate and raise awareness for Seattle’s unique blend of local, independent businesses with Seattle’s first-ever Gift Local pledge campaign. Gift Local will invite Seattlites to pledge to spend a portion of their holiday dollars at at least three local businesses, with a goal to have 5,000 residents make the pledge.  Gift Local pledgers will receive a “Thank You!” packet that includes special offers from participating businesses, making it easy to shop local. Choosing to shop with our local businesses keeps more jobs and income in our local economy, and keeps Seattle vibrant–making our neighborhoods, and the holidays, brighter for all of us.  Please join us by making the pledge today at www.gift-local.org.
