Vote and  turn in your ballot, folks.  If you don’t have a stamp, here’s a list of drop off locations. Don’t even think about doing any of these weekend events until you’ve completed your civic and moral duty. We mean it. We’ll be checking.

Thursday, November 1

  • Volunteer Drop in Night at Lifelong AIDS Alliance. Help assemble kits, mailings, or other activities in a highly social and fun environment. A call first 206-957-1776 is requested. LLAA Volunteer Office (1161 11th Ave), 4 – 7p.
  • Sound Poetry Performance with Jason Conger/ The Four Hoarse Men / Interrupture / Kjell Hanson. Frye Art Museum, 5:30 – 6:30p.
  • November is for birthdays. Happy Birthday Poco Wine Room! Raise a glass to their sixth AND first birthdays (it’s complicated). Happy 5th Birthday Office Nomads! Here’s your chance to check out the expansion and the new common space we told you about a few months ago.
  • Author Marco Roth reads from his memoir The Scientists: A Family Romance, “a richer, wider portrait of life for many on New York City’s Upper West Side.” There’s more to this story than just another privileged childhood memoir. Town Hall, 7:30p
  • The Rolling Stones: Charlie Is My Darling is a never-before released film based on newly mastered footage of the Rolling Stones captured during a tour stop in Ireland in 1965. The Rolling Stone magazine is wetting their pants about the film, which is “packed with unseen footage of early Stones mayhem: boozy hotel-room jams, rabid stage-rushing fans and electric live performances.” Screening one night only at Northwest Film Forum, 7p.
  • Cheap Wine and Poetry is a chance for you to buy wine for a buck a cup and listen to talented Northwest poets. This month’s readers include the sharp and witty Sarah Galvin, plus three more poets. Afterward, there’s an open mic. Richard Hugo House, 7p. 
  • Cirque du Soiree at Melrose Market Studios benefits the Connecting Borders Foundation. 7-10p. $40.

Friday, November 2

  • Celebrate Dia De Los Muertos with live broadcast of four bands at the Hollow Earth Radio studio (2018 E Union St). Bring your sweetest sugar skull face to celebrate the day the dead. Starts at 8:05p. 
  • Northwest Film Forum’s Universal Pictures: Celebrating 100 Years series kicks off on Saturday and runs through Nov 14th. The series programming ranges from Do The Right Thing to Magnificent Obsession. Is your fav U-Pic flick showing on the big screen?

Saturday, November 3

  • The 52nd Annual Polish Home Fall Bazaar has booths upstairs selling Polish crystal, amber and silver jewelry, Boleslawiec pottery and more. Downstairs in the dining hall, fill up on pierogi, sausage, cabbage rolls and other delicious Yelp-loved food served by a young generation of waiters clad in Polish folk costumes.Hawt.   • Gallery Talk: a Narrative Docent Tour of the Interior Mall,  Fry Art Museum (704 Terry Ave) 1 – 2p. 
  • Readings from literary journal Golden Handcuffs Review by contributing authors Rebecca Brown, Rikki Ducornet, Stacey Levine and John Olsen. Elliott Bay Book Company, 7p.
  • Join in a game of Human Foosball at Cal Anderson Park. Unlike the tabletop foosball players, You can move your arms and kick as well as go side to side. Keep one had on your rope line at all times; hilarity ensues. Meet at the tennis courts at 8p.
  • Seattle PrideFest Marriage Victory Party. Wait a sec…victory? Oh I see: “Party like we’ve won, raise money because we haven’t (yet).” Alrighty, then. Party on and help raise funds to bring Ref 74 across the finish line. Neumos, 9p.
  • Another Happy Birthday wish goes out to Bacon Strip, the Big Gay Variety Show hosted by Sylvia O-Stayformore. Six is the year for pajama parties, right? Rebar (1114 Howell St), 10p. 

Sunday, November 4

  • Broadway Farmers Market.Sundays 11a-3p, April through December 23rd at Broadway and Pine. (SCCC) 
  • Urban Food Fair offers a cornucopia of community building activities for all ages. Have something homemade or homegrown to trade? There’s a barter hour. Think you have prize-winning jam? Enter the contest. Overrun with apples and want to make cider? Bring ’em on down and use the cider press. Seattle University Campion Ballroom (914 E. Jefferson St) 10a – 4p.
  • Learn how to talk dirty to get what you want. Babeland’s free workshop is 1:30 – 2p. 
  • Art Ache market is an opportunity to get a jump on holiday gift shopping for the relative who has everything. Vermillion,  3 – 8p.
  • Seattle Jazz Vespers in performed in the historic Gothic sanctuary of Seattle First Baptist Church (Seneca and Harvard) the first Sunday of the month. This month features “Five Families Who Do Music Together.” Arrival by 5:30 is recommended to ensure a seat for the 6 – 8p performance.
