School board rep talks new Capitol Hill middle school

Capitol Hill resident and area representative to the Seattle School Board Kay Smith-Blum will meet with the community Saturday morning at the Capitol Hill library branch. CHS wrote about the plan to the $23 million overhaul 19th at John’s Meany campus for a new Seattle middle school to open in 2017 here. Smith-Blum might also have a few more things to say about the charter school initiative — if the latest ballot drops solidify the current lead to approve the initiative. CHS wrote about what I-1240 could mean to Capitol Hill kids here. Information on Saturday’s meeting is below.
