Three makes a tradition — You’re invited to the Seattle U Christmas tree lighting

Capitol Hill’s skate rink may be taking the year off from the whole “holiday tradition” thing but Seattle University’s annual Christmas tree lighting remains dedicated to the cause. In its third year of opening up with an invitation for residents and businesses in the neighborhood to be part of the fun, Seattle U’s lighting is shiny bright and enjoyable in a small-town way — even if the weather outside ends up a little frightful. Cue a commenter taking a swipe at religion, etc. Cue CHS saying, oh, boy, pretty lights.
