Sisters hit Capitol Hill streets this weekend to collect for the Chicken Soup Brigade

CHS is too old to believe in Santa. But we believe in the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Watch for gallivanting this weekend as the perpetually active members of the Order of St. Joan are out and about collecting for this year’s Sisters’ Pantry:

The Sisters are doing a food drive for Chicken Soup Brigade, a program of Lifelong AIDS Alliance.

This year, because of rising demand and decreased funding, Chicken Soup Brigade is in need of community support.

The clients served by Chicken Soup Brigade need toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, etc.), canned foods, and dry goods (pasta, beans, rice, etc.).

Collection boxes can be found from December 5th through December 14th at R-Place, The Wild Rose, Madison Pub and Lifelong AIDS Alliance Thrift Store.

On Saturday, December 15, 2012, we will be gallivanting through Capitol Hill to do a bucket drive to collect further donations for CSB. Ending the evening by 10 pm at R-Place for a post-food drive party.

You can also help out the Sisters’ A Night of Misfit Toys drive at Diesel Friday night.
