Capitol Hill Chamber receives neighborhood grant for Blitz Arts Walk

Last month the Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce received a Small and Simple grant from the City’s Neighborhood Matching Fund on behalf of the Blitz Arts Walk.

This competitive neighborhood grant will provide $15,265 to fund a new and improved Blitz website and a handy smart phone app that will allow users to find current venues while they are out and about on the walk. It will also provide readily identifiable signage for the venues and fund a volunteer outreach and cultivation program.

Other Capitol Hill organizations that received grants are:

  • Gay City Health Project for a Gay City Community Auditorium
  • Stunning Seattle for a Seattle Beautification Mural Project
  • Friends of Federal and Republican Open spaces for Broadway Hill Park Construction Document

Be sure to congratulate those who are working so hard to improve the Hill. And thanks to the City and Department of Neighborhoods for supporting us.
